Our take on the Woodwind SS 36 Pellet Grill
The Camp Chef Woodwind SS 36 is a wood pellet grill and smoker with a stainless steel body that is rust resistant and simple to wipe clean. A PID and WiFi controller lets you adjust temperature, set timers and receive alerts through the Camp Chef Connect app, while a 1 to 10 smoke control dial helps you tune the level of smoky flavor. The Ash Kickin' Cleanout system makes emptying ash less of a chore, and a slide-and-grill feature allows direct-heat searing alongside low-and-slow smoking.
This grill suits anyone who wants smoked food with app-based control and wants to switch between searing and smoking on one unit. Before buying, consider whether you want WiFi monitoring, since that is a core part of how it operates, and check that you have space for a pellet grill that runs on wood pellets.
