Our take on the Performer 22-in Smart Charcoal Grill - Black

The Weber Performer 22-inch Smart Charcoal Grill brings the familiar kettle design into a cart-mounted setup with a built-in Wi-Fi controller. A digital fan manages airflow to hold and adjust temperature, which suits longer cooks and overnight smoking. Rapidfire Assist helps the grill come up to heat faster after lighting, and the Weber Connect app lets you monitor and control it from your phone. Additional touches include a sturdy storage shelf, a side table and side rail for accessories, a hinged grate that flips up for adding fuel, a One-Touch ash cleaning system, and two wheels for moving it around.

This grill is aimed at charcoal fans who want smart temperature control without giving up the classic kettle feel. Before buying, it is worth checking that the 22-inch cooking area fits your outdoor space and that you are comfortable cooking with charcoal rather than gas. The app-based controls rely on a Wi-Fi connection, so consider whether that works for where you plan to set it up.
